I am invisible The world does not see me An inconsequential grain of sand on a beach of infinite proportions Do not feel pity I am not worthy Do not feel sad I am not alone The desire to scream “I AM HERE!” muted by the futility So many other voices trying to be heard Who has the time Retreat into myself and wait for the end No one notices I am invisible
